Texas Rangers vs Baltimore Orioles – MLB Preview – June 23, 2025

The Texas Rangers begin a three-game road series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. First pitch is set for 6:35PM ET. Texas enters at 38-40 overall, including a 15-24 road record. Baltimore sits at 33-44 and is 16-19 at home.

This is the first time the teams meet in 2025, but they played six times last July, splitting the series 3-3. Texas has won six of its last eight on the road. The Orioles return home after a 3-4 road trip against the Rays and Yankees, but their lineup is missing some key players.

Rangers Preview – Can Texas Keep Winning on the Road?

Patrick Corbin gets the start for Texas. He’s 4-6 with a 3.91 ERA in 13 starts and has allowed two runs or fewer in three of his last five games. Corbin has struggled in his career vs Baltimore, going 1-5 with a 5.21 ERA in nine starts.

The Rangers offense is scoring 3.62 runs per game, which is below league average. They’ve hit the team total under in 53 of their last 78 games. Josh Jung and Marcus Semien lead the team in extra-base hits, but the lineup has lacked power on the road.

Texas has relied heavily on its pitching. The bullpen has a 3.13 ERA and is allowing only 0.3 home runs per 9 innings. Chris Martin, Hoby Milner, and Robert Garcia have all been steady in late innings. As a team, they are hitting the full game under in 50 of their last 77 games.

Orioles Preview – Baltimore Dealing with Injuries

The Orioles will start lefty Trevor Rogers, who is 0-0 with a 3.12 ERA in limited work this season. He’s pitched just 5 1/3 innings across his last two outings. Against Texas in his career, Rogers has a 4.38 ERA in 12 1/3 innings.

Injuries are a concern for Baltimore. Catcher Adley Rutschman is on the IL with an oblique issue. Backup Maverick Handley left Sunday’s game after a collision and might enter concussion protocol. Gary Sanchez is expected to handle duties behind the plate.

The Orioles average 3.95 runs per game but allow 5.05, which gives them a run differential of -1.10. The bullpen has been average with a 3.44 ERA, but it gave up 17 runs in its last 27 innings. They have hit the game total under in 37 of their last 61 games.

Betting Prediction

The Orioles are -140 favorites while the Rangers are +115 underdogs. The total is set at 9.5. Texas has value with Corbin on the mound and Baltimore short-handed. The Rangers also come in playing better on the road recently.

Trends point to the under. Both teams have cashed the under more than the over this year. With Baltimore missing bats and Texas not scoring much, a 5-3 type game makes sense. The value is on the road dog and the under.

Pick: Rangers +115 and Under 9.5
