Nascar Picks: Camping World RV Sales 301

This week the Nascar Sprint Cup series heads to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Camping World RV Sales 301. The New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a short track just 1.058 miles so it’s a big difference from last weeks race at Daytona. Last season Brain Vickers was a surprise winner in this race while Matt Kenseth won the fall race here and an interesting note is that the last three races at New Hampshire have all been won by a Toyota. That’s a bit of a change from years past that saw Chevrolet winning 10 of the 13 races before that.

Brad Keselowski (+825)

Brad Keselowski is 4th in the points standings plus he already has two wins this season so he’s guaranteed to make the chase anyway. Keselowski does race well here he has 3 top 5 finishes and also has the 5th best average finishing position at New Hampshire but he has yet to win here so lets hope that changes Sunday. Keselowski has shown some speed so far this week with the 7th fastest time in practice and he also qualified 7th it looks like he has a solid car.

Denny Hamlin (+1075)

Denny Hamlin is well back in the points standings in just 14th place but he does have 1 win so far this season so just one more win would put him in the chase. New Hampshire is one of Hamlins best tracks. In 16 race he has 2 wins and 7 top 5 finishes and has led over 400 laps here. Hamlin also has the best average finishing position at New Hampshire with a 9.0 average finish. Denny Hamlin had just the 14th fastest car in practice but he did qualify 3rd so if he can stay out of trouble this week he should be in for a good finish.

Kyle Busch (+1175)

Kyle Busch is 9th in the points standings and he has one win this season so another win would be huge for Busch and would take a lot of pressure off the team the rest of the season. Kyle Busch has just 1 win in 18 races at New Hampshire but he has 6 top 5 finishes so he’s usually close to the lead here. In the two races at New Hampshire last season Busch was actually the runner up in both those races. Kyle Busch had the 10th fastest car in practice which wasn’t all that good but he qualified in the 1st starting position he’s looking pretty solid for Sundays race.
