Chandler Morris, a transfer from North Texas, has been at the center of it all. He has thrown for 1,050 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 132 rushing yards. Morris is coming off a breakout game against Stanford where he threw for 380 yards and four touchdowns.
Receiver Trell Harris has been the breakout star, catching three touchdowns and racking up 145 yards against Stanford. The Cavaliers’ wide receiver group has shown the ability to stretch the field and create mismatches against secondaries. At home, the offense has looked even sharper, scoring over 40 points in each of its three games in Charlottesville this season.
On the defensive side, Virginia has given up just 19.5 points per game. While they have been solid against Stanford and early-season opponents, this unit has yet to face an offense as explosive as Florida State’s.
