Yale Bulldogs vs. Cornell Big Red Betting Preview

There is going to be another full slate of college basketball action on Saturday, but there will be some great games to check out on Friday night as well. The Yale Bulldogs are set to visit the Cornell Big Red, and this is going to be a huge game in the Ivy League.

Yale is coming into this game looking to bounce back as they just suffered a surprising loss on the road at Princeton in their most recent game. The Bulldogs are still sitting at 17-7 on the year, and a win in this game would allow them to bounce back in a big way.

Cornell is coming into this game with some momentum as they have picked up two straight victories. The Big Red are a very impressive 19-4 on the season, but they can’t afford to take a step back and lose this matchup on Friday night.

The Cornell Big Red are coming into this game as slim two-point betting favorites over Yale, and the location of this game has impacted those odds.

Bulldogs Want to Defend

The Yale Bulldogs play like most teams in the Ivy League do, which means that they want to be patient on the offensive end of the floor. Yale has taken that a step further this season as they are allowing less than 67 points per game.

This is going to be a tough task for Yale on the road on Friday night, but they simply don’t have any other options to explore. The Bulldogs will need to shoot the ball well in this game, but that’s not always something that they do well.

Forward Danny Wolf is leading the way with 14.7 points per game, and he is going to have to provide some interior scoring for this Yale team if they are going to pick up a win in this game.

Cornell Can Really Score

The Cornell Big Red just continue to put pressure on their opponents this season as they are now averaging 83.6 points per game. Cornell not only takes a ton of shots throughout the game, but they are also shooting 49.8% percent from the field.

This team won’t be afraid to be in attack mode all night long, and they always seem to find a way to wear down their opponents. Guard Chris Manon is averaging 12.2 points per game to lead the team, but there are other players that can step up.

Yale is going to have to find some answers on the defensive end of the floor as this team is allowing over 74 points per game this season.

Big Red Gets it Done

The winner of this game is going to take over first place in the Ivy League, and that could allow that team to be on track to get to the NCAA Tournament. That is going to create some extra motivation for both teams in this game, and it should add to the overall excitement.

Yale will be able to slow down the tempo of this game for the first 30 minutes, but that just isn’t going to last throughout the game. Cornell has so many weapons on their roster and at some point they are going to pull away in this one.

Betting on the Cornell Big Red at -2.0 is the best betting option to make in this game as the home team will eventually take complete control.
