Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints Betting Preview

The Buffalo Bills (6-4, 3-2 away) take on the New Orleans Saints (5-5, 2-2 home) in the nightcap of a three-game slate of NFL action on Thanksgiving. Both teams look to bounce back on the short week after suffering double-digit defeats last week.

Thursday’s prime-time kickoff is at 8:20 p.m. EST inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA. Buffalo is a 6-point road favorite, and the over-under total is at 45 points.

What to Know – Buffalo Bills

The Bills were underachieved last week in a 41-15 blowout loss at home to the Indianapolis Colts. With a win Thursday night, Buffalo stays tied with the Patriots atop the AFC East.

Offensively, the Bills rank second in the league, scoring 29.5 points per game behind 402.7 yards of offense. Buffalo’s defense is surrendering 17.6 points and 293.6 yards of offense to opposing teams.

Josh Allen never got it going last week against a pesky Colts defense. Allen finished with 209 yards through the air with a pair of touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. Matt Breida carried the ball five times for 51 yards to pace the Bills rushing attack. Wideout Stefon Diggs hauled in two of his four receptions for touchdowns but was held to only 23 yards receiving.

Buffalo is 5-4-1 against the spread this season and 3-2 ATS on the road. The total has gone over in four of Buffalo’s last six games.

What to Know – New Orleans Saints

New Orleans has dropped three consecutive games has the Saints’ offense continues to falter without Jameis Winston and Alvin Kamara in the backfield. Even with the losing streak, the Saints are still in the thick of the NFC South division.

The offense scores 25.1 points and produces 332.5 yards of offense per game. The Saints defense is a strong point of the franchise, holding teams to 21.8 points and 356.9 yards of offense. New Orleans is third in the league allowing only 89.8 yards of offense on the ground.

Filling in for the injured Winston, Trevor Siemian tossed three touchdowns and ran for another in the loss to the Eagles. Siemian threw touchdown passes to three separate receivers. Wideout Tre’Quan Smith led the Saints in receiving with five receptions for 64 yards, and Mark Ingram II carried the ball 16 times for 88 yards.

The Saints are 5-5 ATS this year with a 2-2 mark ATS inside the Superdome. The total has gone over in three of New Orleans’ four home contests this season.

The Pick is In

Thursday night’s NFL finale is an interleague matchup with a lot on the line for both teams. Last week’s loss dropped the Bills into second place in the division, while the consecutive losses for the Saints have them in two games back of Tampa Bay.

Buffalo hasn’t won in Superdome since 1998, and the Saints have won five in a row in the series. We see this one ending in the low-40s, so we will gladly take the current total.
