Central Michigan Chippewas vs. Ohio Bobcats Free Pick – Week 12

Week 12 of the college football season is the penultimate of the regular season, and that means that most teams have a ton to play for. The Central Michigan Chippewas visit the Ohio Bobcats on Wednesday night for an interesting game in the Mid-American Conference (MAC).

Central Michigan is trying to pick up another win to get their bowl eligibility as they have gone just 5-5 through the first 10 games. The Chippewas have not been playing their best football of late as they are just 2-3 in their last five games.

Ohio has gone 3-2 in their last five games and they are a team that is trying to finish the season with some momentum. The Bobcats are still an impressive 7-3 on the year, but they have lost some games that they probably shouldn’t have of late.

The Ohio Bobcats are coming into this game as 10.0-point betting favorites over the Central Michigan Chippewas.

Chippewas Must Get Stops

The Central Michigan Chippewas have not been playing good defense over the last few weeks, and that is the reason that they have gone just 2-3. Central Michigan just allowed 38 points to Western Michigan in their most recent game, and that could create some issues on Wednesday night.

The Chippewas are scoring just 23 points per game this season, and that’s going to create some problems if they can’t get stops. Quarterback Jase Bauer has thrown for 1,542 yards and nine touchdowns this season, and he has struggled to take care of the ball.

Central Michigan will need to mix in some rushing attempts on Wednesday night to give the defense a chance to have success.

Bobcats Can Score

The Ohio Bobcats are scoring just 21.6 points per game this season, but they should be able to be better on offense. This team just scored 42 points in a game a few weeks ago, and that is going to be a key on Wednesday night.

Quarterback Kurtis Rourke has thrown for 1,777 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, but this team also tries to run the football. Ohio is averaging just 3.7 rushes per game, and they do need to be better on the ground.

The Bobcats have a defense that is shutting down opponents, but that unit could use some help from their offense in this game.

Chippewas Cover, Bobcats Win

The Central Michigan Chippewas have not been playing their best football of late, but they are still a team that can be tough to deal with. Central Michigan just hasn’t been able to get enough stops and that is one of the reasons that they just can’t be good enough to win this game.

Ohio should be able to dominate most of their MAC games this season, but they just continue to make some big mistakes that ends up costing them. The Bobcats are going find just enough offense to pick up a win in this one, but it won’t be easy.

The best bet is to take the 10 points in this game and back the Central Michigan Chippewas, but it will be the Ohio Bobcats that pick up a win in this game.
