Also on the docket are #11 USC at #6 SMU at 3:10 p.m. and #15 Troy and #2 Duke at 7:20 p.m. The day ends for those in the East Region with #10 Marquette playing #7 South Carolina at 9:50 p.m.

Of course, we have picked every game being played today in the South and Midwest Regions. There are no games being played by those teams seeded in the West. Their will be plenty of action in that region tomorrow.

#14 New Mexico State at #3 Baylor

From the Western Athletic Conference, the New Mexico State Aggies come to this game as the conference tournament champs. The club has won five games straight. Eli Chuha is taking down 9.0 RPG while scoring 12.4 PPG. Also upfront, Jemerrio Jones is good for 8.5 RPG and 9.9 PPG. Guard Ian Baker, averaging 16.6 PPG, is a genuine playmaker.

The Baylor Bears finished second in the Big 12. Forward Jonathan Motley is the team’s leading scorer with 17.3 PPG and rebounder with 9.9 RPG. Manu Lecomte contributes 12.4 PPG and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. is bringing down 7.0 RPG.

Take the Aggies at +12.5 and the over at 134.5.

The PAC-12 is well represented in March Madness with USC being one of the many teams from the conference in the tournament. The Trojans beat Providence in a First Four game 75-71. USC has some good shooters, including leading scorer Bennie Boatwright at 15.1 PPG and Chimezie Metu at 14.5. Chimezie is averaging 7.9 RPG.

The SMU Mustangs, who finished first in the American Athletic Conference, come to this game with a 16-game winning streak. The Mustangs’ top scorer is Semi Ojeleye who’s averaging 18.9 PPG while grabbing 6.8 RPG. Ben Moore is good for 7.9 RPG and 11.6 PPG. Shake Milton is a fine setup man.

Take the over at 138 and the SMU Mustangs, a very good three-point shooting team, at -6.5

#15 Troy at #2 Duke

The Troy Trojans, the top team in the Sun Belt Conference, are riding a six-game winning streak. Their primary scorer is Jordan Varnado with 16.5 PPG. He’s also bringing in 7.1 RPG. Troy is averaging 79 PPG.

Duke finished fifth in the ACC. Five of their guys are averaging double-digit scoring figures. Luke Kennard is good for 20.1 PPG and 5.3 RPG. Jayson Tatum is second in points, averaging 16.9 PPG while pulling down 7.3 RPG. Amilie Jefferson has been capturing 8.2 RPG and scoring 10.9 PPG.

We think Duke will win this one. Despite the fact that the spread is 20 points, we’re taking the Blue devils at -20.0. Take the over at 154.5.

The Marquette Golden Eagles finished fifth in the Big East this season. The Golden Eagles bring five players to the court who are averaging ten of more points per game. Marquette is scoring on average 83 PPG. Markus Howard is the team’s top point maker, averaging 13.2 per game.

South Carolina was fourth in the Southeastern Conference. Sindarius Thornwell is tops in points and rebounds averaging 21.0 points and 7.2 rebounds respectively. P.J. Dozier is good for 13.6 PPG. The team is averaging 72 PPG.
