Sabrina Ionescu has tried to carry the offense, leading the team in scoring in several recent games. However, her shooting has cooled, hitting just 32.9 percent from the field over her past six outings. She was limited to 13 points in the last meeting with Minnesota.
Jonquel Jones has been a steady option, scoring 17 points in the last matchup. She struggled in the fourth quarter though, not attempting a shot in over seven minutes of play. The Liberty will need stronger finishes if they want to even the season series.
MIN Preview – Depth Stepping Up Without Collier
The Lynx have continued winning despite Napheesa Collier being sidelined with an ankle injury. Collier leads the WNBA with 23.5 points per game, but her teammates have filled the gap. Courtney Williams scored 26 in the last game against New York.
Kayla McBride and Alanna Smith have also stepped up, combining for key scoring and defense during this stretch. Minnesota has now won six straight games. That includes wins over the Aces, Storm, and Mystics in addition to their three wins against the Liberty.
On the season, Minnesota ranks near the top in shooting efficiency and assists. Their depth and balance on both ends have been critical in maintaining the best record in the league. With Collier still sidelined, their supporting cast continues to deliver.
