St. Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets – NHL Preview – May 2, 2025

The St. Louis Blues host the Winnipeg Jets on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Game 6 of their Western Conference playoff series. The game will be played at Enterprise Center with puck drop scheduled for 8:00PM ET. Winnipeg leads the series 3-2 and can advance with a win.

The Jets won Game 5 at home by a score of 5-3. They are now 3-0 at home in the series. St. Louis has won both of its home games, including a 5-1 and 7-2 result earlier in the series. The home team has won every game so far in the series.

Blues Preview – Trying to Extend the Series Again at Home

St. Louis finished the regular season 5th in the Central Division with a 44-30-6-2 record. The Blues have relied on strong goaltending from Jordan Binnington at home. He is 10-4-1 in his last 15 starts with a .909 save percentage and a 2.26 goals-against average.

The Blues have outscored Winnipeg by 11 goals in their two home games this series. Their offense has been led by Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich. Rookie forward Jimmy Snuggerud has added points in three of his last four games and plays on the top line and top power-play unit.

Justin Faulk has been active from the blue line with multiple shots in four of the five games. St. Louis is expected to come out aggressive again with their season on the line. They managed just 19 shots in Game 5 and will look to improve that total at home.

Jets Preview – One Win Away from Advancing

Winnipeg enters this game with the best record in the Central Division at 56-22-3-1. The Jets are 3-2 in the series and one win away from moving on to the second round. They’ve taken advantage of home ice, but their road play has struggled in this series.

Connor Hellebuyck has allowed at least three goals in each of his last three starts. His save percentage in the postseason is down to .824 after posting a .919 in the regular season. The defense in front of him has not been as tight, giving up 3.8 goals per game in the series.

Mark Scheifele and Nikolaj Ehlers are both day-to-day with injuries. Winnipeg still managed to score five goals in Game 5 without a major contribution from them. The Jets are scoring 3.36 goals per game and will need to carry that pace on the road to close it out.

Betting Prediction

St. Louis is a slight favorite at home with the moneyline around -115. The total is set at 5.5. Four of the five games in the series have gone over that number, and the Blues have scored at least five goals in both home games.

The Jets have not played well in St. Louis so far. Binnington’s play at home, combined with the Blues’ offense, gives the edge to the home team. Expect the Blues to push the series to Game 7 with another strong effort on their own ice.

Pick: Blues -115
