Week 5 Monday Night Football: Quarterback Props

Best Quarterback Props for Skins and Saints

There are some quality quarterback proposition bets for tonight’s Monday Night Football game featuring the Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints. We’ve selected three that we like a lot. Along with providing these QB bets, we have also offered some fine bets you can make focusing on rushing and receiving. You can find those proposition bets here. Below are our three Week 5 Monday Night Football quarterback props.

Prop 1: Alex Smith More than 23.5 Completions (-120)

In three games thus far, Smith has had one game where he tossed more than 23 completions. That was against any weak defensive team, Indianapolis. In that game, he had 33 completions. Against Arizona, Smith completed 21 passes. When he played Green Bay prior to the bye-week, Smith threw only 20 passes, completing 12. Opponents are averaging 25 completions per game. We like Smith in this prop, as the Saints are allowing over 320 passing yards per game and Smith will take advantage of that.

Prop Bet: Smith More than 23.5 Completions

Prop 2: Smith More than 1.5 TD Passes (-140)

Although he’s only averaging one touchdown pass per game, Smith is going up against a team what is allowing 2.7 TD passes per contest. In two-of-three games this season, Smith has tossed two scoring passes.

The one game in which he did not have a passing TD was against Indianapolis. We like Smith over 1.5 scoring passes.

Prop Bet: Smith More than 1.5 TD Passes

Prop 3: Drew Brees to Have More Passing Yards Than Alex Smith (-179)

This is an interesting prop, in that Brees has the potential to accumulate more yards than Smith. However, Brees is facing one of the toughest defenses in the NFL. We expect this to be fairly close, but we do think that Brees will manage to pass for over 250 yards and Smith will come in at around 220. Take this prop.

Prop Bet: Brees More Passing YDs than Smith

Final Word: Week 5 Monday Night Football Quarterback Props

Take advantage of these Week 5 Monday Night Football quarterback props and our other prop offerings. This is a big game for Brees, and we envision him excelling. But we also think that Smith will rise to the occasion. See our MFN Washington at New Orleans totals pick and our Redskins and Saints spread analysis and free pick.
