Super Bowl LVIII: San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Betting Pick

The Super Bowl is just a few days away, and this version of the big event could be one of the best matchups in recent memory. Super Bowl LVIII will feature the San Francisco 49ers seeking revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs.

San Francisco came into the postseason as the number one seed in the NFC, and they have not disappointed their fans along the way. The 49ers have had some tough games, but they got past the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions.

Kansas City has already won two road games so far in the postseason as they won in both Buffalo and Baltimore. The Chiefs are used to being in the final game of the season, and that experience could give them an edge in this game.

The 49ers are slim 1.5-point betting favorites in the Super Bowl, but the line did open up at 3.5 points.

49ers Want to Run

The San Francisco 49ers have a simple formula to win games this season, and everything starts with being able to run the football. San Francisco has a serious weapon in Christian McCaffrey, and he found the end zone twice in the NFC Championship Game.

Quarterback Brock Purdy is still trying to gain more experience in the NFL, but he has been putting up some big numbers along the way. Purdy will be looking for some success in this game, and hitting open receivers will be a key.

San Francisco also features a dominant defense this season, and they will be coming after Patrick Mahomes in this game. The 49ers can be explosive, but they want to win this game by playing tough.

Mahomes, Setting Tone For Chiefs

This was not the most impressive regular season for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, but they were able to turn it on in the postseason. Mahomes has been making plays with his legs, but he also continues to find Travis Kelce.

That duo now holds the NFL record for most touchdowns between a quarterback and receiver duo. Isiah Pacheco has added a new wrinkle to the offense as he is good enough to rack up the yards on the ground.

Kansas City was one of the best defensive teams in the NFL this season, and that unit will be looking to pressure Purdy. If the Chiefs can get stops then that unit will give the ball to Mahomes in a good position.

Mahomes, Chiefs Get it Done

It has been a great season for the San Francisco 49ers, and they are wanting some revenge in this game. The 49ers are good enough to win a Super Bowl this season, but they are simply facing a better team.

Betting against Patrick Mahomes  is simply not a smart thing to do, especially when it comes to the biggest games of the year. Mahomes just knows how to make winning plays, and he will put his team in a position to have some success.

Forget about betting the spread as betting on the Chiefs to win this game outright is going to be the play to make.
