A pair of 1-1 teams will mix it up on Sunday afternoon in the National Football League. The Detroit Lions are at the Arizona Cardinals. The Lions come into the game after beating the Rams in Week 1 and losing to Tampa Bay in Week 2. The Lions are a game behind Minnesota in the NFC North.
For Arizona, they started with a loss to the Buffalo Bills and then came home and smacked the Los Angeles Rams around. The Cardinals are tied with San Francisco for second place in the NFC West, a game behind the Seattle Seahawks.
The Detroit Lions are -3 on the road over the Arizona Cardinals. The total for this affair sits at 51.5 points.
Rookie Receiver Looks Great
The big story for Arizona was Marvin Harrison Jr and his two touchdown receptions in the win over the Rams. After struggling to get going in game one, Kyle Murray found him in a big way. Murray is now 38 of 52 and has thrown 428 yards and four touchdowns. He has yet to throw an interception on the season.
James Conner has been the lead man on the ground. The running back has 172 yards and two touchdowns on the season. He did lose a fumble. Trey McBridge leads the team in receptions, as he has 11 on the season. McBridge has 97 yards as well.
Arizona will look to get on track with three straight home games. Next week is the third, as they are hosting Washington. Following that, the Cardinals are on the road at San Francisco and also Green Bay.
Lions Looking for Bounce Back
Jared Goff has been busy to open the season. Dan Campbell has allowed his signal caller to throw the football 83 times in two games. He has completed 52 of them for 524 yards, and just one touchdown. That touchdown went to Jameson Williams.
David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have been the running back duos for the Lions. Montgomery has two touchdowns, while Gibbs has one on the season. Williams is the top receiving threat so far, but Amon-Ra St. Brown is due to get going. Sam LaPorta has started slow, with just 6 receptions and 58 yards.
The Lions are on the road in this game, but then head back home for Week 4. Detroit is hosting the Seahawks, before their bye week. After that they have back to back road games at the Cowboys and Vikings.
Arizona Wins at Home
We expect this to be a pretty fun game, and in fact, one of the best games of the Week 3 slate. The Lions and Cardinals are both teams that can push the pace. We look for both teams to move the football up and down the field. In the end, we are going to take the home team. We are going to take the Cardinals straight up. Bet Arizona +145 on the money line over Detroit on Sunday in the National Football League.
