NBA Playoffs Game 2 Betting Preview: Portland Trail Blazers at Golden State Warriors

If the first game of this series was any indication, the Portland Trail Blazers might be in for a long, but short, series. The Golden State Warriors came out quickly and stomped the Blazers leading by nine at the half and putting the game away quickly in the fourth quarter. The Warriors scored 39 fourth-quarter points to run away with the 116-94 victory in Game 1.

The Warriors shot 51.5 percent from deep while the Blazers shot just 25 percent. Something else to watch for the Blazers is their offensive ability. Despite having five players in double figures, and four of those with 17 or more points, they lost by double digits. The Warriors had just three players in double figures for the game, and Kevin Durant was still out with injury. The Warriors are 7.5-point favorites to win Game 2.

Blazers In Survival Mode

After the Blazers had five players in double figures and still lost by 22 points, the Blazers are really going to need to figure something out. Damian Lillard led the team with 19 points. CJ McCollum, Rodney Hood, and Maurice Harkless each added in 17 points, while Enes Kanter had 10 points.

Despite a very well-rounded scoring output, the Blazers really didn’t come close to winning the game. The Blazers are going to have to make adjustments on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor if they hope to keep up with the Warriors. Lillard is going to have to play really well the rest of the series, starting with tonight.

Warriors Look to Increase Lead

The Warriors took an easy 1-0 series lead, and now they are looking to add another win into the column. Without Durant, many people thought that the Warriors’ season was over, but they are actually playing better without him. Stephen Curry scored 36 points, while Klay Thompson added in 26 points. The Warriors got a ton of scoring off of their bench, as all but one of their 13 players scored in the game.

To continue their winning ways, the Warriors are going to have to keep feeding Curry and Thompson the ball for open shots. When Draymond Green is on his game, this is a tough team to stop. Green had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in the first game of the series. Golden State is looking to wrap up this next game before heading to Portland.

Warriors Take 2-0 Lead

The Warriors are looking to snatch an early series lead and send the Blazers reeling. This is a team not like the Rockets where they will be easily able to climb back from a series deficit. The Blazers are going to have to tighten up on both ends, while the Warriors need to continue freely playing the game. I thought from the start that this series would be a sweep, and the writing is on the wall already. Take the Warriors to cover and win big tonight.
