All Star Game Betting Preview

The 2023 MLB All Star Game is set to take place on Tuesday, July 11, and this is always one of the best days of the year on the sports calendar. The Midsummer Classic continues to be the best exhibition that is played in professional sports, and the 2023 version will take place in Seattle, Washington.

The American League is looking for its 10th straight win in the MLB All Star Game, and the National League will be looking to snap the skid. There have been some terrific battles over the last few years, and extra innings might be on the table again in this game.

When the betting lines were first posted, the American League was listed as the betting favorite at -115 over the National League on Tuesday night.

Stars Missing For AL

The American League roster was loaded with talent when it was announced, but there are going to be some big players missing for this event. Both Mike Trout and Aaron Judge won’t be playing on Tuesday night, and that is some serious thunder missing from the lineup.

Gerrit Cole has been chosen to start the All Star Game for the American League, and he is more than deserving of the honor. It is strange not to see Shohei Ohtani taking the ball to start the game, and that’s a big win for the National League.

The American League tends to find a way to hit a big home run when it needs to the most, but there isn’t a ton of power in the lineup. If the American League isn’t able to string together some hits then it could be a long night.

Gallen Going For NL

The National League will send Zac Gallen to the mound on Tuesday night and it will be his first ever start in the All Star Game. Gallen is having a huge season for the Diamondbacks, and he will look to get his team off to a fast start.

This team does tend to have a big advantage when it comes to the pitching staff as there are some big arms in the bullpen. The National League is going to be looking to get an early lead and then let the big arms put this thing away.

There are several members of the Atlanta Braves that are in the starting lineup for the National League, and that should lead to some impressive numbers for this team in this game.

National League Gets it Done

There are going to be some big players that are forced to miss the game on Tuesday night, and the AL has been hit the hardest. Pitching could also be an issue for the American League, and that is always going to play a big role in this game.

Zac Gallen should get the NL off to a great start in this game on Tuesday night, and there are some other great pitchers set to toe the rubber as well. The National League also looks to have the best offensive lineup for this game, and that is going to matter late in this one.

The best bet to make is to take the National League at -105 as they are finally able to end the long winning streak by the American League and come up with an impressive win on Tuesday night.
