2022 AFC Championship Prop Betting Guide

Kansas City and Cincinnati Square Off for Chance to Go to the Super Bowl

Cincinnati and Kansas City square off at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday January 30th at 3:00 PM ET. While the winner of this contest will undergo two weeks of betting scrutiny and analysis, let’s prepare for Super Bowl LVI with a little early 2022 AFC Championship prop betting.

The Chiefs are a TD favorite in this one with some points expected considering the betting total is 54.5. The weather should not be a huge factor with it expected to be 40 degrees and cloudy with a very slight win. The public is going to be pounding ‘over’ passing props especially with the show that Kansas City and Buffalo put on last week. Let’s see what some of the best bets overall are for this contest:

Joe Burrow ‘Over’ 24.5 Pass Completions (-143)

If this game does turn into the offensive showdown that many people expect, than Joe Burrow is going to be a main reason why. They payout (-143) isn’t great, but Burrow hit 30/39 passes in the week 17 win at home over the Chiefs. Burrow threw the ball 34 times in the wild card round win over Las Vegas and even 37 in last week’s low scoring 19-16 win over the Titans. The only thing that can actually hurt Burrow here is big plays to the likes of Ja’Marr Chase.

Ja’Marr Chase ‘Over’ 86.5 Receiving Yards (-118)

One big concern for the Ja’ Marr Chase prop is Tyrann Mathieu coming back from a concussion suffered vs. the Bills because we saw what Buffalo’s Gabriel Davis did with 4 TDs last week vs. the shorthanded KC secondary. Even so, Chase should be poised for a big day as he has caught 14 of 18 targets this postseason for an average of 112 yards. Three of his playoff catches have gone for 20+ yards so he can get a large chunk of the 86.5 prop on one or two receptions. The rookie also had 11 catches for 268 yards in the week 17 win over KC.

Jerick McKinnon Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Jerick McKinnon was actually a pretty big part of the Chiefs offense against the Bills, running the ball 10 times and getting 7 targets in the passing game. The Bengals don’t give up a ton on the ground (102.5, 5th in NFL) so Kansas City is likely going to have to use their short passing game as their running game.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Under 38.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Sure he was rusty after being out since Halloween with a foot injury, but the Bengals did a nice job of holding Derrick Henry to 62 yards on 20 carries last week with a long of 6 yards. Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 60 yards rushing vs. the Bills, but only on 7 carries. McKinnon actually led the Chiefs with 7 carries and they usually burn up a couple of running attempts to either Mecole Hardman and/or Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill +120 Receiving Yards AND KC Win (+193)

One of the better 2022 AFC Championship prop betting offers is Tyreek Hill to get 120+ yards AND the Chiefs to win. KC is a -7 point favorite and -350 on the moneyline while HIll over 80.5 receiving yards is -114. Sure 120 yards is a bit tougher to get, but Hill had 11 catches for 150 last week vs. Buffalo. He’s going to be a bigger part of the offense with the season on the line and can get about 60-70 yards of this in one pop.
