2017 NFL Preview Hub – AFC

Going into the 2017 football season, the New England Patriots are favored to win it all. But there’s plenty of competition for the 2017 Super Bowl Champions. Top contenders include the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Oakland Raiders. Our 2017 NFL Preview Hub offers a thumbnail of all 16 AFC teams.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills– Ryan is gone and McDermott is trying to change culture and win.
Miami Dolphins– Playoff possibilities but QB Tannenhill needs to move to next level.
New England Patriots– Brady, Belichick, Edelmen, Gronk, etc., etc.
New York Jets– Need a real staring QB and don’t have one.

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens– Solid D but can Flacco and offense need to score more.
Cincinnati Bengals– Once competitive team continues to lose talented vets.
Cleveland Browns– Osweiler may be their starter or maybe rookie DeShone Kizer
Pittsburgh Steelers– Roethlisberger, Bell, Brown and a decent D spell trouble.

AFC South

Houston Texans– QB situation dire, but defense is impressive.
Indianapolis Colts– Luck’s health is essential for them to be competitive.
Jacksonville Jaguars– Young talent abounds but doubts about Bortles continue.
Tennessee Titans– Looks like this team is ready to soar.

AFC West

Denver Broncos– Fine D but who leads offense, Lynch or Siemian?
Kansas City Chiefs– QB Smith can’t seem to win a playoff game.
Los Angeles Chargers– New coach Lynn and new home in LA
Oakland Raiders– Carr can drive this team if healthy, but need better D

2017 NFL Preview Hub – NFC

The Atlanta Falcons are considered to be the favorites in the NFC, but you cannot count out the Dallas Cowboys, Geen Bay Packers, or Seattle Seahawks. Plus, various other teams are certainly competitive. Our 2017 NFL Preview Hub provides a short assessment of each NFC team.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys– Prescott and Elliot will try to do it again, but with more success.
New York Giants– Improved and talented, but O-line concerns persist.
Philadelphia Eagles– Wentz has more support, but doubtful it’s enough.
Washington Redskins– Cousins can lead but player dysfunction problematic.

NFC North

Chicago Bears– There are many problems as well as two new QBs.
Detroit Lions– Stafford and cardiac kids are back and perhaps playoff bound again.
Green Bay Packers– Rodgers has potential to take this team to the limit.
Minnesota Vikings– O-line improvements could help them to next level.

NFC South

Atlanta Falcons– They must leave Super Bowl fiasco behind.
Carolina Panthers– There are more weaknesses than last season and no GM.
New Orleans Saints– Brees can score lots, but so can opponents versus Saint D.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers– Mariota is ready for playoffs and so it this team.

NFC West

Arizona Cardinals– Palmer and company have a shot.
Los Angeles Rams– Goff needs to improve a lot this season.
San Francisco 49ers– A lot of work to do as long range rebuilding ensues.
Seattle Seahawks– Best team in West, but O-line is still weak.
