Sunday June 14th Dixie Vodka 400 Betting Guide

Betting Brain NASCAR expert Cliff “Tire Wear” Johnson presents the Dixie Vodka 400 betting guide.

Good morning NASCAR fans what a day on Saturday in the Hooters 250 as Harrison Burton picked up the win in Homestead.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. had been leading with about 30 laps to go in his ‘one race a year’ but faded to a top 5 finish . It’s on to Dixie Vodka 400 betting Sunday at 2:30 on Fox.

Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex are all co-favorites on Sunday in the 4/1 to 5/1 range. Harvick is coming off his worst finish of the season on Wednesday in Martinville (15th) but hasn’t finished lower than 4th in his last six at Homestead-Miami. Busch won this race last season but there’s value on a multitude of drivers on Sunday considering the race at this track was usually the season finale instead of a mid-season event.

Here are some picks to keep you out of the pits for Dixie Vodka 400 betting:

Ryan Blaney +1200

Ryan Blaney has never had a top 10 finish at Homestead but based on recent races that should change on Sunday. Blaney sees his 4th career Cup win in sights as he has finished in the top 4 in 4 of his last 5 starts. Blaney had a runner-up finish on Wednesday behind Truex, Jr. and is starting 11th today.
Pick: Driver head to head Blaney (-110) over Alex Bowman

Bubba Wallace +5500

Could Bubba Wallace, jr. be staring down a top 10 finish today despite starting at 17th?i project him finishing as high as 5th in what would be a great look for the sport’s only African-American driver as racial tensions are high around the world. Wallace has finished in the top 11 in 2 of his last 3 races.
Pick: Wallace top 5 +750

Clint Bowyer +4400

Clint Bowyer seems like a top tiered driver to wager against in Dixie Vodka 400 betting. He has finished 17th and 20th the last two races and sits in 12th in the standings with 0 wins and just two top 5’s. Is Bowyer trying too hard in yet another contract year with Stewart-Haas racing? It appears that way.
Pick: Driver head to head William Byron +105 over Bowyer.
It’s feasible to see Bowyer struggle on Sunday.

Kyle Busch +450

There’s a ton of ways to have success wagering on Kyle Busch in Dixie Vodka 400 betting. Busch is +450 to win on Sunday on the same track that he won the truck race on Saturday night. Busch won at Homestead-Miami last season as well and is +135 for a top 3 and -140 for a top 5. Busch is starting 4th, two spots ahead of Truex who he is matched up with in H2H.
Pick: Driver head to head Busch (-110) over Truex Jr.

Chase Elliott +900

Chase Elliott starts in 5th for Dixie Vodka 400 betting and is a solid +125 return to finish that way. Elliott has found creative ways to make up time on pit road and has made stellar late race calls this season. Elliott sits in 3rd overall in the standings on the season and has a win to go with five top 5 finishes. The #9 Chevy also finished 5th on Wednesday and a solid 8th last Sunday in Atlanta.
Pick: Elliott top 5 finish
